1. Who We Are

BeeTab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Chrome browser extension that transforms your new tab into a personal productivity dashboard. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the BeeTab extension and visit our website at beetab.cc.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

BeeTab is built on a privacy-first architecture. We do not collect, store on our servers, or transmit:

• Your shortcuts, bookmarks, or website URLs
• Your task lists, to-do items, or task history
• Your world clock settings or preferred cities
• Your weather location preferences
• Your calculator history
• Your layout preferences or theme settings
• Your browsing history or browsing behavior
• Any analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

BeeTab stores your data exclusively inside your browser, in two places:

• Chrome sync storage (chrome.storage.sync) — your shortcuts, categories, tasks, clocks, weather locations, layout, and preferences. Chrome synchronizes this data within your own Google profile, so your settings follow you between your devices and survive a reinstall. This synchronization is performed entirely by Chrome, under your Google account — BeeTab has no server involved and no access to it.
• Local storage (chrome.storage.local) — sign-in tokens and cached Calendar/Drive/OneDrive results, kept on the device only.

This means:

• We cannot access, read, or recover your data
• No backups are stored on our servers
• Turning off Chrome sync keeps all data on the device only
• You can permanently erase everything via Settings → Data → full reset inside the extension, or by removing the extension and clearing its synced data from your Chrome profile

BeeTab also offers an optional Export feature that saves your settings to a file on your device, at your request. The exported file never includes your license key or account tokens.

4. Google Account Integration (Optional)

BeeTab offers optional integration with Google Account to display Google Calendar events and Google Drive files in the “Stay in Flow” widget. This requires your explicit consent.

When you connect Google Account:

• BeeTab requests read-only access to Google Calendar and Google Drive only
• OAuth tokens are stored locally in your browser — never on our servers
• We do not store, log, or share your Google data
• Revoke access anytime at Google Account Permissions

BeeTab’s use of Google API data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

5. Microsoft Account Integration (Optional)

BeeTab offers optional OneDrive integration for the “Stay in Flow” widget. When you connect:

• BeeTab requests read-only access to OneDrive files only
• OAuth tokens are stored locally — never on our servers
• We do not store, log, or share your Microsoft data
• Revoke access anytime at Microsoft Account Privacy Settings

6. Website Visits (beetab.cc)

When you visit beetab.cc, standard server logs may be created by our hosting provider. These logs may include your IP address and browser type, used solely for security and performance monitoring and not linked to any personal identity.

7. Payments — Processed by Paddle

BeeTab Pro purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record.

• All payment processing is handled entirely by Paddle
• BeeTab does not collect, store, or process your payment card information
• Paddle collects billing details required to process your transaction
• Paddle is governed by Paddle’s Privacy Policy
• BeeTab receives only a payment confirmation and license identifier — no financial data

When you activate BeeTab Pro, the extension sends your license key — and nothing else — to our licensing service (hosted on Google Apps Script) to verify it is valid. No browsing data, settings, or personal content is ever transmitted with it.

8. Affiliate Links (Optional, Per-Link Consent)

BeeTab uses affiliate links. When you add or edit a shortcut, a pre-checked, removable consent checkbox is shown. If you leave it checked and the destination site offers an affiliate program, the shortcut is opened with an affiliate tag added to the URL: it costs you nothing, and the developer earns a small commission if you make a purchase through it. If you uncheck it, the link is never modified.

• You can change this choice at any time by editing the shortcut.
• No personal data, browsing history, or purchase information is shared with the developer or with any affiliate network.
• The affiliate tag in the URL is the only change, and it is visible in your address bar.

9. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies for basic functionality. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies.

10. Children’s Privacy

BeeTab is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us at privacy@beetab.cc.

11. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Since we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, most data rights (access, deletion, portability) are exercised directly through your browser — via Settings → Data → full reset inside the extension, or by removing it. For payment-related data requests, contact Paddle. For other inquiries, email privacy@beetab.cc.

12. Data Security

Your productivity data lives in your browser and, if Chrome sync is enabled, inside your own Google account’s encrypted sync infrastructure — the same mechanism that protects your Chrome bookmarks and passwords. There is no BeeTab server holding your personal data that could be breached. Sign-in tokens for Google and Microsoft are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us. We recommend keeping your device and browser up to date.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on our website with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of BeeTab after changes constitutes acceptance.
